Jean also known as Jinx has left her hometown looking for a fresh start. She might have caused a little bit of trouble there so maybe moving in with her aunt and uncle will be better. Everything seems to be getting better until she finds out more about her cousin Tory. Tory is convinced that Jinx is a witch. So much for a new start.
There was a nice sense of mystery revolving around the story. I really wanted to know what the big secret was and Jinx's reactions. The idea behind the story was great. I liked the idea of a modern witch story. But the way that it was carried out wasn't too special. The building of the plot was wonderful but the climax of the story failed to meet the set expectations.
The characters weren't that bad. Jinx's aunt and uncle were nice and fit into the story perfectly. Tory was memorable. Jinx was an amazing main character . The story behind each character was interesting but a lot of the supporting characters failed to make a significant impact on the story.
